“We are the inheritors of the Earth, of knowledge, and of what has been entrusted to us by previous generations, and we must support the next generation. The International Advertising Association (IAA) has included support for the next generation as part of its social responsibility initiatives.

The IAA’s social responsibility framework encompasses social justice, transparency, environmental stewardship, and rights protection. Supporting the next generation is a core aspect of this responsibility. Many individuals have dedicated their efforts to uplifting the next generation; even if they are no longer with us, their legacy remains.

Fars Abu Hamad, with five decades of professional experience at the IAA—including four terms as Deputy, and three terms as Representative and Secretary-General—has been recognized as one of the most influential supporters of youth development in underprivileged countries. Many prominent advertising and media professionals in Asia and Europe count themselves among his students.

As a dedicated supporter of underprivileged countries, Fars has significantly contributed to the growth of young talent in advertising, and Iran’s recent progress in the field owes much to his guidance. The Fars Award, presented by the IAA, honors individuals who have made meaningful contributions in this domain.”
